If Blockwise is disabled then select XOn/XOff flow control in the DNC software. The DNC Software should also insert STX and ETX codes into the transmit data - For example with easyDnc this is acheived in the DNC Setup window by selecting 'Advanced' and select these options from the drop-lists.

This control supports the Heidenhain blockwise communications protocol for reliable file transfer and drip feeding of large programs that exceed the memory of the control. Enable Blockwise by setting MP5030.1=1 and use a DNC Program that supports Blockwise such as RemoDNC.

Cable shown here works with xOn/xOff (DC1/DC3) flow control and RTS/CTS (Hardware flow control so should work in most cases.
