I have a MacBook Pro that has thunderbolt 3 ports so I am using an adapter for my rs232. when I go to configure my machine it only has 1 and a bluetooth to choose from. if I try to send to port one it says it is not connected. Any help would be appreciated

What does the adapter look like? I mean do you have a manufacturer part number for the Thunderbolt-to-RS232 device? Is it a thunderbolt-to-USB adapter and then separate USB-to-RS232 ?

If EasyDNC isn't seeing the Com port then it means that the device driver for the com port is not installed.

Inserting a USB device will usually make the computer see the USB port. But it usually needs additional software to be installed (from the CD or vendor's website) to make that USB device 'appear' as a proper RS232 port.
