How to run from USB? Do you mean the USB port on a computer? You need a USB/RS232 adapter. They're not expensive. Just a few dollars.
Then you can connect the RS232 port to the cnc.

Is it possible to use a PCMCIA to USB adapter instead of the PCMCIA to CF card?

Sorry. Pete. It sounds like you want to install something into your CNC/Control. Your CNC has a PCMCIA socket and you want to convert that to USB? You'd need to be talking to your CNC Rep.
