Topic:   Default Folder on shared drive

I am looking to purchase a license for this, but I have my computers sharing a hard drive. I can't seem to get the DNC setup to find the folder I want it to use. So when someone open up the program DNC automatically accesses the files the from (for example) X:shared_driveWIP"example"machine.

The old version we had you were able to manually type in the address and you were good to go.

Is this something you guys can enable? Currently you can only select browse which only looks at file folders on the computer not on the network. The field the brows fills in is greyed out and you can't just type it in.

Thanks

In the DNC setup you see the "Receive" tab. Near the bottom of the receive tab is a box showing the current receive folder. To the right of that is a "Browse" button. You should be able to browse your network to your shared folder.

Sorry. Just re-read your question.

Yes. You should be able to browse the network.

By the way. That browse window is not created by us. It's a standard Windows component that we just pop open.

Another idea might be to map the shared folder as a drive letter. So, for example map it drive letter Z: then browse the local PC and you should see your stabdard C drive and drive Z appearing as if it was a local drive.
