Will this software work with an older Amada Coma Turret Punch with a General Numeric (GN 200 Series) control? I didn't see any parameters on this site for that control.

I think the Amad communications parameters are labelled as baud rate, parity, databits, stopbits so just set
Parity=even
Databits=7
stopbits=2
Punchcode=1 (ISO)

Baud rate=2400

Set the same in RemoDNC.

Then set Remo to receive (normal receive mode, not remo mode) then go to the CNC and punch out a program. Do you get anything on the PC display?

I don't have the RemoDNC loaded on any computer here yet. I was trying to determine if it would work with the Amada Turret Punch with a General Numeric control. The system I have right now is an old PC running software developed and installed by a gentleman named Neil Joba who is not around anymore. He attached an RS232 cable from the PC to the paper tape reader on the machine controller. I was looking for software to replace this old system. I would like to upgrade the PC and I couldn't get the old software to work with a windows PC. Thank you for your help.

In the RemoDNC/EasyDNC setup window there's various modes such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain etc. Just select the 'NONE' option and that makes it work pretty much like a basic paper tape reader/puncher.

The trial is fully functional for 60 days. We can extend that to 120 if you need more time. So just download the trial. Setup the baud rate and other settings such as parity, stop bits etc the same as the old PC. Then try to punch a program FROM the CNC to the PC and see what appears on the PC display.

You probably want to send data IN to the CNC but, to begin with, try to get data FROM to the CNC to the PC. It's just easier to diagnose things in that direction.
