Remo suddenly stopped sending programs. I'm communicating with a HAAS vf3 with a rs232 cable. now to get a program to send I have to select the machine, then setup. I then detect ports and save this will send a single time. So I have to redo this each time. to my knowledge nothing has been updated.

For the benefit of anyone else with the same problem - this usually occurs with a USB/RS232 port where the USB cable or USB socket might be worn and causing the USB to disconnect even just for a moment. If the TX or RX windows are open when this happens they can't reconnect until the TX/RX window is closed and reopened. Doing a setup/detect shouldn't be necessary unless windows has unexpectedly allocated a new comport number.
The solution in this case was to connect the USB to a different socket on the computer and reset.
