|I assume you try to send the program to the cnc but nothing happens and the cnc just sits waiting so you press cancel at the cnc and that's when the 411 alarm appears. Is that what's happening?|
Are you sure all of the parameters, baud rate etc are correct?
Ignoring drip feed for a moment. Are you able to send programs into the cnc memory?
Are you able to send a program From the cnc to the computer? Put the DNC into receive mode and send from the cnc. Does anything, even garbage, appear on the computer display?

|Nothing is transfered either from or too the cnc. I've tried multiple matching parameters with no luck.|
i am only on the demo version, Could this be the issue?
i can transfer saved programs using serial from my mac to the haas without issue other than limiting my file size to the haas memory.
